About the Organizer
SIU was established under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, in the year 2002. Symbiosis Law School, Pune is a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
Symbiosis Law School, Pune, (SLS Pune) in 2019 has been ranked 7th by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ministry of Human Resource Development India among the Law Institutes all over the Country.
About the Fest
Symbiosis Law School, Pune, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is organizing its annual inter-collegiate cultural, sports and legal festival, Symbhav 2020. The fest is a student-driven cultural extravaganza which aims to bring students together from different disciplines across the country and provide a platform for mutual learning and growth.
Location and Dates
This year, Symbhav is set to drop its anchor on the 28th of February, 2020 with the festivities continuing until the 1st of March, 2020 at the New Viman Nagar Campus of Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
About the Events
Legal events have been an important part of Symbhav over the years and we consider it a great opportunity to experiment with different kinds of events and host events of the highest quality for all participants. Along with the ‘Nithin Patil Memorial Mono Advocacy Competition’, Symbhav 2020 will see a host of Legal Events, viz.:
These events will be taking place from 28th February 2020 to 1st March 2020, at Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
The four diverse events have been curated and shaped into formats that are aimed at testing the participants’ ability to represent a client unreservedly, inculcate the ability to not just perceive the law from a singular perspective but also create a balanced impression of a legal position, as well as testing everything from researching and drafting skills to oratory and deliberation skills. The format for each competition and the Rules & Regulations for each of them are attached as a separate document below.
Who can participate?
The participant shall be a student in any 3 year or 5 year law course or any other undergraduate or postgraduate law degree, from any institution.
Registration Procedure
Kindly fill in the following google form to register provisionally here for Client Counselling, Mediation, Negotiation or Judgement Writing competitions. Please remember that the registration will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis and that there is a team/participant cap on each event. The deadline for provisional registration is December 25, 2019.
Thereafter, the final registration (via the submission of the soft copy of the form and the full registration amount, which shall be intimated via mail) will have to be completed by January 31, 2020.
