KLEF College of Law is organizing a virtual national seminar on Social & Economic Legislation in India- Developmental Perspectives from 23rd to 26th March 2023.

About KLEF (Deemed to be University)

KLEF is Deemed to be University, erstwhile KLCE was established in year 1980. Built within a rural setting of lush green fields, the institute is a virtual paradise of pristine nature and idyllic beauty.

About the KLEF College of Law

KLEF College of Law is established in the Year 2015-16 with the prior approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI) with Prof. Dr N. Rangaiah, as the founder principal. The College offers 5 Year integrated Law program BBA, LL.B., and 3 Year Program LL. B, 2 Year LL.M program and Doctoral Program.

About the Seminar

The civilization, culture and progress of the society are reflected in the legal system of a country. The cardinal principles of law emerging from such a legal system always raise the needs of the people at large.

As such, the law should keep pace with the rapid march of time profoundly influencing various allied social institutions including Judiciary. The corpus juris, in various fields, has undergone a significant transformation with the mandate of the Constitution in promoting justice to all.

The purpose of this national seminar is to make a candid attempt to appreciate the legal developments taking place across all sections of society and to suggest a way ahead to the policymakers, law enforcement machinery etc in architecting the future course of law in the realization of justice, equality and fraternity.

Who can Attend?

The National Seminar is open to the members of the Bar, Students, faculty members of any college/university as well as prospective teachers, research scholars and all with academic interest.

  • Labour Welfare Legislations.
  • Cyber & IPR Laws.
  • Administration of Justice.

Note: The above themes are not exhaustive, any allied topics related to social and economic legislation will be considered.

Submission Guidelines

  • The Abstract shall not exceed 250 words. (Including 3-5 keywords)
  • The abstract/full paper must contain the details of the author and co-author. Complete address, e-mail id, and mobile number. The details of all the author/s should include their name, academic and professional qualifications, institutional affiliation, and current designation under the Title of the Paper. A maximum of one Co-author is allowed.
  • The abstract/full paper should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5-line spacing, and the footnotes in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single-line spacing. Paper title in 14 (Bold) and all sub-headings in 12 (Bold) and line spacing at 1.5.
  • The submission of the abstract/full paper must be in MS Word only. (No other format will be accepted)
  • The word file containing the abstract/full paper has to be saved and uploaded in the name of the author along with the title of the paper. (Ex- Author’s Name-Title of the paper) v The Submission of abstract/full papers which are made through google form will only be considered. Abstract/Full paper submitted through email id will not be entertained.
  • A full paper must include a Title, abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Conclusion, etc. The length of the full paper including tables, diagrams, illustrations, references, etc. shall not be less than 3500 words and shall not exceed 5000 words. The organising committee reserves the right to make appropriate corrections and editing if necessary.
  • The Bluebook citations style.
  • The submission should contain a disclaimer to the effect that the piece is original and has not been published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the organizing committee, and only shortlisted abstracts will be invited to submit final papers.
  • The final paper should be submitted after the intimation of acceptance of the abstract. No abstract or full paper shall be accepted after the last dates of submission, respectively.
  • Participants/Paper Presenters have to pay the required registration fees only after the acceptance of the abstract. In the case of co-authorship, both author and co-author have to pay the registration fee.
  • All submissions are subject to a Plagiarism check.

Registration Details

For all the paper presenters and participants – Rs. 300.

Certificate

E-certificate will be provided to participants and paper presenters via e-mail within 10 days from the end of this program.

Important Dates

  • Last Date of Registration: 23rd March 2023.
  • Submission of Abstract Last Date: 22nd March 2023
  • Submission of Full Paper: 27th March 2023
