Justice Indira Banerjee, Chief Guest of the inaugural session of an International Webinar on Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Child Trafficking, was organized by Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti. Honorable Justice Mrs. Indira Banerjee, Supreme Court Judge, shared and discussed the bitter and poignant experiences of victims of child abuse and their parents that How much this has an impact on their minds, from abuse.
She said that the Legal Services Authority of the states of the country should set an example by playing an important role in the prevention of child sexual abuse and child trafficking.

The program was a major participation of the State Legal Services Authority of Delhi, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh and Punjab, and the cooperation of Opu Aama Society and Arunachal University of Studies and Punjab State Legal Services Authority.
Justice Daya Chaudhary, Executive Chairman of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court spoke on various legal activities taken up by Haryana State Legal Services Authority. He urged social institutions and educational institutions to teach children, the meaning of good and bad touche, as well as prevention of child abuse and human trafficking, to make children aware of their negative surroundings, if any. Justice Chaudhary said that cases of child sexual exploitation are registered less than other cases because of lack of awareness and does not record sufficient number as the prevalence of crime.

Mr. Shiv Raman Gaur, Former Principal Secretary, Government of Haryana and Director (High Education) of D.A.V. Managing Committee called upon children, parents and other social organizations to plan and take action in favour of children in urban as well as rural areas and emphasized the need to be vigilant and get trained.

Ms. Debasree Chaudhri, the Chief guest of the technical session, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Government of India, said that the government has taken several measures to prevent sexual exploitation and child trafficking in the country by enacting stringent laws like Child Helpline Number Services and POCSO Act.

In the same session, Prof. Shahnaz Hooda of the Department of Law at Dhaka University Bangladesh presented a statistical data of the cases of child sexual abuse and child trafficking in Bangladesh, highlighting the legal provisions of his country and the University Campaign against Child Sexual Abuse and emphasised on active participation of all countries in the campaign.
Reiterating the Commission's commitment to the protection of child rights, Member of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Pragya Parande, with the help of other departments, spoke on the measures taken by the Commission to tackle the problem of sexual exploitation and trafficking of children in India.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Kaval Jeet Arora Member Secretary, Delhi State Legal Services Authority, while elaborating on the legal provisions of the authority, said that not only the children and teachers in the school, but also the guardians too are given by the constitution.
Special programs are being organized for prevention of sexual exploitation, to make society aware of the legal provisions, and secondly special training is also being given to the police personnel so that the legal provisions can be made effective.

Announcing to take the campaign to a nationwide level, Vijay Gaur, general secretary and journalist of the Partnership Jan Sahyog Samiti said that 10,000 people have registered to participate in the webinars from India, USA, Indonesia and Bangladesh and students, professors, More than 16000 people including teachers, philanthropists, teachers - trainees, advocates, and Child Rights Protection Commission of various states joined the program in which the teachers of D.A.V., Municipal Corporation of Delhi, New Delhi Municipality and Kendriya Vidyalayas participated prominently.

On this occasion, the members of the Organizing Committee - Professor KK Agarwal, former Vice Chancellor of the Institutions and Chief Founder of the Committee, District and Sessions Judge and Member Secretary of APSLSA Javaplu Chai, Professor Aditya Malik Vice Chancellor KR Mangalam University, Prof. OP Sharma Vice Chancellor Arunachal University of Studies, Ms. Jasbir Rishi Vice Chancellor D.A.V. University, Professor Jyoti Gaur, Dean, Swami Vivekananda Subharati University, and Prof. Dr B.V.Ramana Reddy NSS Programme Coordinator, Indraprastha University, also assured to support the committee's campaign by calling the issue and working against child sexual abuse as a social stigma.
