About the organisation

O.P. Jindal Global University is a private university located at Sonipat, Haryana, India. It was established in 2009 as a philanthropic initiative of its founding chancellor, Naveen Jindal in memory of his father, O.P. Jindal.

The School’s expert faculty comes from across the globe and engages in critical scholarship that contributes to public debates both in India and abroad.

CHLET undertakes cutting-edge legal empirical research on contemporary questions of sexuality, gender, public policy and health law. CHLET collaborates and engages with people’s movements on issues of gender and sexuality. CHLET adopts a multidisciplinary approach and focuses particularly on the rights of sexual minorities; gender minorities and gender diverse people, the constitutional right to health and reproductive rights.

About the internship

The Centre for Health Law, Ethics and Technology (CHLET) at Jindal Global Law School in Haryana, India is looking for interns to work with us from 1-3 months, starting March 2020 onwards. Applications (including ones for winter internships) will be processed on a rolling basis.

CHLET requires that all interns have good research and writing skills as well as a commitment to social justice causes.

Who can apply?

First-year law students are not eligible, but all other students may apply. You must be pursuing a degree in law or an equivalent qualification.

Stipend

This is an unpaid internship. However, accommodation at the Jindal Global Law School campus will be provided if required during the months of February- May and August- November.

Note: No accommodation will be provided for internships at the Delhi office (Greater Kailash-I, New Delhi).

Duration of internship

The internship must last a minimum of 1 month but can be extended up to 3 months.
