Eligibility
For the position of a Legal Researcher: The candidate must
- hold a masters/PhD from a recognized institution.
- have considerable experience in legal research.
- must have excellent skills in information absorption and translation.
- must have familiarity with the legal systems in Maharashtra including local level institutions.
- must be proficient in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- must be comfortable in managing unclear problems and working through uncertainty.
- must be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment in a flexible and energetic way.
- must be able to solve challenges in creative, enthusiastic, and effective ways.
For the position of a Litigator: The candidate must:
- hold 3-6 years of experience in litigation.
- be a Law graduate and the Bar Council licence holder.
- have some experience of representing human trafficking victims or victims of human
rights violations.
- hold knowledge of POCSO, ITPA, CRPC, IPC and all laws related to offense against human body and
criminal economic offenses.
Responsibilities
For the position of a Legal Researcher:
- Study and analyze Human Rights laws, especially in relation to gender-based rights and
- Study and analyze laws pertaining to rescue and rehabilitation and child rights.
- Work with litigators to innovate and devise strategies to increase conviction rates.
- Conduct deep analysis of past cases identifying best practices and legal gaps that need to be
- Analyze best practices globally and translate them into actionable items.
- Analyze data from other states to maximize innovation and learning.
- Collect and analyze primary and secondary data to create suitable legal insights that the
litigation team can act on.
- Conduct thorough human migration research through a legal lens.
- Guide legal strategy to act against actors and stakeholders of the crime.
- Guide law enforcement stakeholders to best respond to the nature of crimes.
- Study and understand investigation, evidence collection and evidence utilization.
- Design new approaches that can be tested by the litigation team.
- Learn and adapt from the experience of the litigation team.
- Devise new ways of presenting and using evidence.
- Drive legal innovation at the organization.
- Strategize the use of complementary and adjacent crimes and laws to ensure convictions.
- Work with social workers to improve the quality of victim statements and strategize the use
of victimology.
- Give insights and information to management when required for presentations, interviews,
high-level meetings and letters to the government.
For the position of Litigators:
- Conduct legal research and prepare written briefs used to develop case strategy and ensure
the current strategy complies with the law.
- Develop and implement litigation plans for each case.
- Develop Relationships with Stakeholders.
- Represent all case proceedings including bail hearings, pre-trial hearings, custody hearings,
trial proceedings, and appeal and assist the public prosecutor when required.
- Draft applications, petitions, and closing arguments to support the public prosecutor in all
cases and other referral cases.
- Advice and train government authorities, aftercare homes and other partners on legal issues
related to commercial sexual exploitation.
- Initiate and attend regular meetings with public prosecutors.

- Maintaining Internal Relationships with Operations, Aftercare, Social Workers, Client
Engagement, Research Function, Analytics.
- Maintaining external Relationships with Judiciary, Police, Investigation Officer, CWC

Salary
According to the qualifications of the candidate, can go upto 12 LPA.
