About the Webinar

As Women break one glass ceiling after the other the confines of the societal bondage begin to break. We bring to you a webinar with difference where from empty platitudes to women and women kind we examine their role and rights. Confident as we are in our beliefs that women must be masters of their destiny, we cannot shy away from reality.

The role played by women in the traditional social structure with respect to cultural norms and value systems continues to place Indian women in a disadvantageous position. Though there has been an expanded women’s participation in every sphere, viz, judiciary, corporate sector, politics, education, human resource development etc., nonetheless equality for women is often contradictory to the harsh realities.

This webinar will also highlight and address contemporary challenges and issues pertaining to Indian women regarding their social, cultural, legal, economic, religious and political role.

The webinar shall be an attempt to assess how far women centric legislations have been successful in safeguarding the rights of the modern Indian women.
