About the Job Opportunity

SGS IPR is opening job posts for In-House Legal Counsel for its office in New Delhi, for professionals with 1-3 years of experience.

Minimum Eligibility

• The candidate(s) must be a law graduate from a recognized University.
• Candidate(s) holding a minimum PQE of 1-3 years in an in-house/corporate setting.
• The candidate(s) would be required to contribute on a full-time basis.
• The candidate(s) must be proficient in English & Hindi.
• The candidate(s) must be proficient in MS-Office.
• The candidate (s) must possess leadership and communication skills.
• The candidate(s) should be punctual, focused, and committed to the profession.

Desired Eligibility

• Candidate(s) with a qualification equivalent to MBA/PGDM from any recognized University shall be preferred.
• The candidate(s) must also have experience in handling corporate communicationsas an effective interface with non-legal colleagues as well as external partners and clients.
• The candidate(s) with content writing experience will be preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and independently drive high value projects to completion.
• The candidate(s) who is immediately available to join will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with different departments to close deals and achieve the SGS IPR professional objectives.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements/legal documents related to the activities involved in SGS IPR.
• Drive the team’s strategic initiatives and provide legal guidance to the team that balances business objectives and legal risk.
• Keep abreast of changing regulations, laws, and industry standards.
• Preparing Reports and Content Writing for the organization.
• Prepare Client communications.
• Respond to IPR related regulatory/compliance inquiries and investigations.
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the organization.
• Providing training to the organization on legal topics and research on legal issues.
• Assisting/Advising the team/ external counsel(s) in all legal matters related to the organization.
• Working alongside other departments within the company.
• Any other responsibility on a need basis.
