The National Human Rights Commission of India is a statutory body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Ordinance of 28 September 1993. It was given a statutory basis by the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.

Eligibility Criteria

Officers holding the post of Registrar (Judicial) of Supreme Court or High Courts or Tribunals or Members of Higher Judiciary in State Judicial Services, possessing the following educational qualification: –

• Essential: Degree in Law from a recognized University.
• Desirable:
  • Post Graduate Degree in law from a recognized university.
  • Research experience in one of the following fields: (a) Constitutional Law and its Theory and (b) Human Rights jurisprudence
• The maximum age-limit for appointment to to the post of Registrar (Law) by deputation shall be not exceeding ‘fifty-eight years’ as on the closing date of receipt of application.

Salary

Level-15 (Rs.1,82,200- 2,24,100)
